Hi, friends. This is a question I get a lot, and I'm happy to be able to share something more than "No, sorry."

First, insurance: still a no-go. Because withdrawal coaching isn't therapy, I can't bill your insurance. Insurance requires diagnoses, too, which many folks in the meds withdrawal community aren't too excited about.

But here's my good news: if you have an HSA or FSA account, you may be able to get reimbursed for our sessions! No diagnosis necessary.

The golden ticket is a "letter of medical necessity," which is usually what HSAs and FSAs want in order to reimburse.

Just this week, I learned about Flex, which makes it easier than ever to get such a letter. Here's how it works:

  • Instant chat consultation, no scheduling or video required
  • Qualifying users get their required docs in under 2 hours
  • All for a $15 consultation fee (which is itself HSA/FSA eligible)

So if you need withdrawal coaching, and have an HSA or an FSA, hop on a chat via Flex to see if you qualify for a medical necessity letter.

If you're able to get that letter, you should be able to pay for withdrawal coaching with a credit or debit card, and then submit it to your HSA/FSA for reimbursement.

See my Flex landing page for more info, and talk with your HSA/FSA provider if you have more questions.
